Teaching philosophy: our approach

We believe that every student, given the right environment, can achieve a high level of musical ability at the piano. We aim to create an environment that is welcoming and supportive of all students, and nurturing of the variety of learning needs each presents. Also, we strive to help parents create an environment at home that provides students what they need for success, where daily practice is a rewarding time where parents and children grow through challenges and successes.

"One of the several great things about the Philadelphia Suzuki Piano Academy and its program is that it inculcates in the young student the basic habit and discipline of practicing and striving towards a goal, and it does this in a fashion that is systematic yet enjoyable.

“Games and group activities are part of the learning process. The approach is child-focused in that each child proceeds at his/her own pace, and at the same time family-oriented in that parental involvement and participation is integral to the program."
